WHY I’M BUILDING POMET

I’m Catherine — founder, and mom of three. Keeping up with people is a problem I feel deeply. I don’t mean reaching them — that part’s easy. I mean showing up, every time, remembering what matters to them.

It blows me away when someone asks about my kids by name, follows up on the family trip we took, or brings up something I only mentioned in passing. I want to be that person. I think we all do.

We just have SO.MANY.PEOPLE in our lives. On the professional side alone we have the colleagues, clients, and people we’ve met once at a conference or event but want to remember. Then add to that family, friends, parents at the school pick-up, neighbors, and more. Our brains weren’t built to remember what this many people share with us.

But they all matter.

My solutions have always been scrappy, and what I want is simple: to talk into my phone, and not worry about the details until I need them again.

I couldn’t find a solution that was both easy to use and ethically sound (I refuse to accept always-recording wearables as a norm). So I’m building it myself — and I’d love your input.
